Microwave-safe glass rice cooker, 1–2 Go – XRCN-2-B - Hario
Cooking Japanese rice at home is quick and easy with the HARIO XRCN-2-B rice cooker, specially designed for use in the microwave. The bowl is made from heat-resistant glass, a material that does not easily absorb food odours or colours and allows you to keep an eye on the rice whilst it is cooking. The handy measurement marks on the bowl itself make it easy to measure out the right amount of water based on the quantity of rice used. The rice cooker can cook 1 or 2 gō of rice – roughly equivalent to 150–300 g of uncooked rice – and is ideal for one or more portions.
After washing the rice, simply add the water, leave it to soak and then cook it in the microwave. At 600 W, HARIO recommends approximately 10 minutes for 1 gō and 12 minutes for 2 gō, following the usual soaking time. As well as classic Japanese white rice, it can also be used to make takikomi gohan, seasoned rice, rice porridge and other microwave dishes. The glass bowl and detachable parts also make the product particularly easy to wash after use.
